Forum Rules

Notice
The forums run on a warn meter system that can be anywhere from 0-100 points. Rulebreaking gets points added to the meter, depending on what rule you break. When you get to 100, you're suspended from the site.

First ban is a 7 days
Second ban is 18 days
Third ban is 31 days
Fourth ban is when we KNOW you're a bother to the forums and you'll be IP banned then and there.


Rules

1. Innapropriate Language
Keep it friendly as there may be younger people here. If you're going to censor, censor the whole word. For example, if "story" was a bad word;

-***** [Correct]
We currently do not have a censor system, but one will be implemented if swearing becomes a problem.

Punishment: 1-100 points to warn meter for 1 month depending on the word. It's really the mods judgement.

2. No spamming, flooding or off-topic posting.
Stick to the topic at hand and make sure your posts have a point. Keep posts 5+ words.

Punishments: 2 points to meter for 15 days per post deleted.

3. Keep personal/account info to yourself
We reccomend you don't give out info that can help people stalk you, and basically the younger you are the less info you should give up. I'd reccomend no personal info but if you must, you should limit it to First name and possibly if you live in the US your state. You are also responsible for your account, so if you give out account info, you run the risk of someone hacking you.

Punishment: Um, we can't punish you for idiotic descisions, just know that if you are stalked or hacked, we are not responsible.

4. No innapropriate/illegal/sexual content
Nothing pornographic, unless you're a pervert, which still gives you no right to do this. ROMs ARE illegal, and they or anything else illegal should not be linked to on these forums.

Punishment: 50 points to meter for two months

5. No bumping/necroposting
Do not post in a topic if it is older than a month old.

Punishment: 3 points to the meter for 2 weeks

6. Double Accounts
You may only have one account, as you don't need more.

Punishment: Other account banned, main account infracted for 30 points per alternate account, and banned for a week per alternate account.

7. Mini Modding
Let mods do their job. If you are not a mod and you see a rulebreaker, PRESS THE REPORT BUTTON. Admins, global mods and mods of the section will take care of it. If you are a moderator but don't have powers in a section, feel free to reprimand the offender, even if you can't moderate stuff.

Punishment(s):
-Mini-Modding: 15 points for 10 days
-False Reporting: 45 points for 25 days

Some stuff is just common sense also.
Keep sigs/icons relativley small.
Rules here apply to the chatbox as well.
